First and foremost I’m a wife and a mother. I have 3 great kids who are all young adults, and they are my inspiration for much of what I do. I’m a transplanted Yankee in the great state of Texas. But at the end of the day I’m just me.
I had been away from blogging for a while but got back into it when I made a lot of changes in my life. I wanted to chronicle what was going on and how my life was changing. I have gone from being a person who would come home late from work open up the first box of whatever I could find in the pantry and serve dinner, or pick up take out. That all changed in January 2011, I decided to get healthy and in turn get my family healthy. Follow me as I make my journey from convenience food to wholesome, amazing tasting home cooked food, without much more time than I spent in the kitchen before.
I decided to take my health to the next level and in April 2011 I started Cross Fit. I was a Cross-fitter for about 4 1/2 years but coordinating my schedule with class times started to become near impossible so I stopped. I did what I could, walking, jogging, and doing workout videos that I had at home, but I needed more. I had been following a friend on Facebook and their journey with their fitness and decided to reach out to see what they were doing. Turns out it was Beachbody. I was very familiar with the company and had a lot of their videos. So I became a Beachbody coach. I’ll be sharing my fitness journey as a coach here as well.
